George is a black male mixed breed of some kind with a sad story to tell. He was found in horrible shape, blindly walking a busy road. Badly matted with a terrible skin infection, close to if not completely blind, heartworms and intestinal parasites, covered in fleas, eyes crusted shut with infection, overgrown nails, and the list goes on. What happened to this little guy? How did he end up in on the streets and in this condition. And how on earth did he survive when he can't see a foot in front of him? Well all that has long since been forgotten by George but will never be forgotten by us. He's clean and groomed, his skin and eye infections have been treated, his heartworms, intestinal worms, and external parasites all treated. George has a condition called dry eye and will require drops in his eyes the remainder of his life. He also has a significant heart murmur that can't be treated. Many would question why so much would be put into a senior dog with some health problems that can't be corrected. When we see George wander around in the green grass, laying in the warm sun, or sleeping on a soft bed, we say how could we have not given him all that we had. He survived so much and deserves to live whatever life he has left comfortably in loving hands. We can't fix all that ails George but we have fixed all that we can. Now he just needs a special home willing to love him until his time comes. George is quiet, calm and sweet. He just wants someone with a little extra time to spend enjoying life with him. He doesn't need much, just a little companionship. No large yard or long walks. Just a place to call home. Just someone to think he's special. George is blind so he needs a home with little change. If you feel you are that special someone to love George for life please e-mail Tina at tropicllc@msn.com for an application. George is neutered, vaccinated, treated and now negative for heartworms, free of internal and external parasites, and microchipped.
