The mission of Suntree-Viera Pet Rescue, Inc., is foster and find permanent homes for rescues from the local high-kill shelters.  Specifically, we take in animals from the euthanasia lines and foster them in private homes indefinitely until they are adopted.


SVPR advocates the spaying and neutering of all domestic dogs and cats as well as feral cats---in accordance with federal law. Furthermore, we educate the public on their responsibility for their pets' medical and emotional care. 

We continue to provide foster care to many animals as they wait to be adopted.  We spay and neuter every animal prior to adoption.  All animals receive age appropriate vaccinations and any necessary medical care. 

Heart-breakingly, the number of unwanted pets seems to be at an all-time high. Unfortunately, we can't take in every animal needing placement as we do not have a shelter and our foster volunteers’ homes are usually full to overflowing!  If you need assistance placing a cat or dog, please contact svprhs@gmail.com.  We will assist you if we are able.

We frequently receive requests for help to rescue unwanted and discarded animals and are always looking for foster families. If you have room in your home and love in your heart, you can help by becoming a foster family.  Please contact svprhs@gmail.com for further details on fostering. PLEASE!

If you are interested in an animal that is listed on the SVPR site and would like to see the animal, please contact the foster parent by phone or email to make arrangements. Also, please note that most of the foster parents work full time jobs and are not always able to respond to your inquiry immediately.
