Opie (or O.P.) was found under the overpass on 520 and I-95. That is where he got his name - OP for overpass. He was brought into the veterinary emergency clinic who called his foster mom asking if she would take him. When he was found, he weighed just over a pound, was starved, anemic and his temperature was below normal - he was dying. But with lots of love and prayers (and food!), this little guy made it through and gained a pound and a half in just a week! Little Opie has made a remarkable recovery and now is in search of his forever home - someone that would never think of leaving him under a bridge! He is a bit shy - understandably so - but is such a sweetheart! He loves to sit with you and purrs like crazy. It makes you feel so good seeing him act like a kitten and being a happy little guy- after all he has been through. He wants a very special home to love this very special guy! All cats/kittens available for adoption through SVPR have been tested for feline Leukemia and AIDS, are neutered or spayed, have received age-appropriate vaccines, and are free of internal and external parasites. The standard adoption fee is $85. For more information about or to arrange to see this cat, please contact the foster parent directly at 321-795-9015 or svpr@cfl.rr.com. Opie is microchipped.
