Vinny is an adorable little 5 pound, 16 month old Maltipoo. He has had a rough time in his short life. He found himself abandoned in a kill shelter at only a year old. He was then adopted by those he thought would be his forever family. He was then passed along to another family who lovingly surrendered him to rescue for his multiple issues. Vinny is a barker and would make an excellent security system. No one gets past Vinny unnoticed. He is uncertain of children, as many little dogs are, and will bark and growl. He also has a fear of men. We are working hard to over come his issues and build his confidence. He arrived at rescue with a heavily matted coat and double ear infections. He has a fresh new haircut and his ears are being treated and he looks much better. Vinny is crate trained and partially house trained as long as his people are diligent about getting him out. Vinny will need a patient caring home with NO SMALL CHILDREN. ****UPDATE***** Vinny has been his foster home for just under two weeks. He is doing wonderful. He loves and plays with thhe children and adores his foster dad. He is an insecure little boy and with slow controled introductions does fine. We are working under the guidence of Nadine the trainer from dynomiteanimals.com. She is helping us break through to Vinny and teach him he is safe without aggression. Nadine has offered to follow Vinny and help him transisition into his new home. All dogs/puppies available for adoption through SVPR have been vet checked, vaccinated appropriately for their age, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again.
