The following paragraph was written in 2009 when King was first taken into rescue. He was adopted within a month of his rescue.
This little guy with the crazy hairdo is a male lhasa between born in 2007. He was just groomed and due to the severe matting of his coat he had to be completely shaved. Only his tail and beard could be saved. He should grow out to a healthy and well groomed dog now that he's cared for. The one hairy picture is a before picture, and the well groomed pup is his after pictures. He had to have a small foreign body removed from his eye"ball" and there will likely always be a scar on that eye. Currently weighing in at 16 pounds. Great little pooch.
Sadly now in 2011 King had to be rescued again. After his adopter "fell on hard times" King has found himself in rescue again. Once again he had to be shaved due to the lack of grooming he received and the many ticks he had. He also had his teeth cleaned and all his vaccines and heartworm test updated. He looks like a schnauzer with his haircut but he is not. He's a happy little dog, crate and housetrained, ok with other dogs and cats. Has a funny overbite so his tongue sticks out a little bit. Does have a scar on his cornea from the foreign body that was removed in 2009 but's it's on the surface and doesn't affect the inside of the eye. Once again King is looking for a family, hopefully forever this time.
