Darby is a male, white, American Eskimo born 11/6/07. Darby is playful, loves his toys and of all things ice. He loves to go for walks and is very good on a leash. He enjoys running as fast as he can back and forth through puddles, the deeper the better. He can't get enough of the water. He has had basic obedience training and is good with his commands. He is crate trained and enjoys his crate...........probably too much. Darby has a slight issue with crate aggression. It's not all the time but sometimes he can be territorial in his crate. Darby is great with other dogs and enjoys going to the dog park to play. He is just fine with cats. He is extrememly smart and learns quickly. Darby would do best in a home without children and with someone that is familiar with this breed. Because he is energetic and active a family that likes to take their dog with them as part of the family would be good. Darby is all too happy to go with you to the store, the river, out on the boat. His new family should take him to obedience classes again and be committed to working on Darby's crate issues. It would be easy to not ever crate him but he's young and with work this behavior can and should be corrected. All dogs/puppies available for adoption through SVPR have been vet checked, vaccinated appropriately for their age, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again.
