Sandy is an 8 month old pure bred English Cream Golden Retriever. She is an absolute beauty. Sandy has been bounced around quite a bit in her young life and is looking for a family to finally call her own, forever!

Her last owners could not provide the time a young pup needs and gave Sandy up in search of a better life. Sandy is an 8 month old ball of energy. She has never had a yard to run in and is having a blast running with all the other dogs in her foster home. A fenced yard is a must. Sandy is fine with other dogs. She is friendly towards cats but will chase.

Goldens are high energy dogs. Sandy will need owners committed to keeping her physically and mentally stimulated. She is not a good choice for a family whose lifestyle keeps them away from home for many hours a day.

Unfortunately, no one has taken the time for basic obedience with Sandy and she needs training. Her foster mom has just begun some basic obedience training. Commitment to continued formal training is a requirement to adopt.

All dogs/puppies available for adoption through SVPR have been vet checked, vaccinated appropriately for their age, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again. Dogs over 8 months are tested for heartworm disease.
