Maggie is a schnauzer yorkie mix female born 2007. She'll sleep in bed with you if you let her. Likes to burrow under the covers. If not she'll pick out a dog bed with a blanket and build her nest. Maggie is crate trained and is always the first one to arrive at "cookie jail," patiently waiting for her treat. She does not need to be crated though and is completely housetrained and used to using a dog door.

She has been allowed on furniture. She likes to snuggle beside you on a sofa or in a chair.

She'll tap you with a paw for a tummy rub. If you don't respond, she'll sit up on her haunches and look really pitiful until you give her a rub. You can toss her a cookie from across the room and nine times out of ten, she'll catch it. This cuteness has contributed to her being a little overweight. She knows "cookie jail" "go crate" - into crate for meal, "breakfast" "supper" "roadtrip" - Maggie LOVES to go for rides. Likes to sit on the center glovebox/console or stick her nose out a cracked open window. "tummy rub" "sit" "stay" "drop it" "go home" usually use this instead of "come"

She likes rawhides and sometimes a stuffed toy or rope toy. She enjoys being outside as long as she's with you. She's really good about coming when she's called. Not a water dog, she may sniff around the edge of the water but doesn't feel the need to go for a swim. She's a good girl when getting a bath. Loves the snuggling in a warm towel after. Will snuggle in your lap buried in the towel for as long as she gets a massage. She's not a barker. She's been to the groomer a few times. No negatives from the groomer. Nick name is Shaggy Maggie.

All dogs/puppies available for adoption through SVPR have been vet checked, vaccinated appropriately for their age, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again.
