Pickles and Chips are 2 sweet boys that were rescued from the county shelter. They are probably a bit over a year in age. Chips has a smooth coat that is brown with white on his face. Pickles is a rust color with a white spot on his head and has a rough coat. From the condition their coats were in when they came into rescue, it was obvious that they were neglected in their former home. However, after eating lots of fresh veggies and quality pellets (plus a good bath and a clean cage), they are loving life in their foster home! Both are very friendly and love to be held. These two fella are extremely social and just love people. Although they are probably not "real" brothers, they are VERY bonded and do need to be adopted together. They will "wheek" for each other if one is being held and the other is in their cage. They have been vet checked and both received clean bills of health! These guys are cool piggies who deserve a loving home. Please do your research on these special animals to make sure they are the right choice for your family. Check out www.guinealynx.com for great piggy information. SVPR will not adopt out solitary piggies. But a piggy can go to a home for a companion for another same-sex piggy. (these two have to go as a pair!) There is a minimum cage requirement to adopt any of our small pets listed here. Please see www.cavycages.com for more on cage size standards. The adoption fee is $20 per piggy.
