Abra is a female dwarf hamster born in April 2008. She's a beautiful brown stripped color with a creamy white underbelly and is soft as silk. She did not have any handling before coming into rescue so she will bite. We are handling her daily to make her more friendly. She only bites when you try to pick her up, once you have her in your hands she's ok. She wouldn't do well with young children at this point but an experienced hamster owner might do her some good. She's really cute and a joy to watch. She will take snacks out of your hand, loves to burrow in her cage and run in her wheel. She's a good hamster, makes very little noise and is independent and easily cared for. Hamsters are solitary animals and shouldn't be housed with others.
