Abilene is a cute young white female gerbil. She was rescued from a local pet store where she has spent her entire life. All of Abilene's cage mates were purchased leaving Abilene alone and afraid. When new gerbils came in Abilene did not know them and fought to protect herself. The store was going to "remove" her from the sales floor. A kind and compasionate employee called rescue. Abilene is settling in to her foster home nicely. She is a sweet little girl who is easily handled by her four human foster children. Abilene will make a great pet for any small animal lover.
