Gracie's story........she was brought to a vet clinic by a good samaritan that found her not using her rear legs.  She had a mircohip that was traced back to the owner who had actually given her away a few days earlier to someone she didn't know.  So either Gracie was let out or escaped and was hit by a car.  The owner did not want her back and authorized her euthanasia.  That's when she came into rescue.  Gracie was suspected to have a broken pelvis and was pretty bruised and battered but if good spirits regardless.  Once she was signed over to rescue x-rays confirmed a fractured pelvis but not other internal injuries.  All her bloodwork came back ok and she was given pain meds and cage rest.  Then during her cage rest 2 kittens came into rescue about a week or two apart and Gracie now had to share her cage with 2 little babies.  She is the best cat, nothing phases her, she is always nice and friendly.  Even though she was spayed as a kitten and never had a litter of her own she has shared her space and her love with these 2 kittens.  I can't help but think that she is so special that she was meant to be rescued.

The standard adoption fee is $85 for our cats and kittens.  All cats/kittens available for adoption through SVPR have been tested for feline Leukemia and AIDS, are neutered or spayed, have received age-appropriate vaccines, are free of internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again.
