Penny came from a situation where there were lots of young breeding dogs not being cared for properly. She was "rescued" by someone when she was pregnant and 5 or her 6 puppies were sold. Penny was then surrendered to rescue with her one remaining puppy. She is a sweet little dog, gets along with other dogs as she has always been raised with them. We were told she was housetrained and crate trained but she is new to us so we are still in the getting to know her stage. She is currently 15 pounds and should not get any larger. We think she is rat terrier and chihuahua mix and was born 11/1/12. If you are interested in sweet Penny please email Tina at tropicllc@msn.com and complete an application on our www.svpr.rescuegroups.org website.
Please email or call the specific foster listed with the description of the animal you are inquiring about for any questions. You may fill out an application online using the Forms tab. Most of our fosters work in addition to volunteering with the shelter, so they will try to respond as quickly as they are able.
All dogs/puppies available for adoption through SVPR have been vet checked, vaccinated appropriately for their age, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again. Dogs over 8 months are tested for heartworm disease.
