Gia flew in all the way from the Bahamas. She is a Potcake mix. The Bahama Potcake is a mixed breed dog that is described to have a "shepherd look." Gia is mostly tan with some white on her chest and black in her muzzle. She is now about 4 months old and currently weighs 12-15 pounds. Gia is sweet and calm. She loves to lay on your lap. We are working on her potty and leash training.
The adoption fee is $250 for a puppy. Gia will not be available for adoption until after 3/13/16 however we are accepting applications at this time. Most of our fosters work in addition to volunteering with the shelter, so they will try to respond as quickly as they are able.
All dogs/puppies available for adoption through SVPR have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated appropriately for their age, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, and microchipped with Home Again. Dogs over 8 months are tested for heartworm disease.
